College of Nursing, East Coast Institute Of Medical Sciences (EIMS) was established in the year 2010. It aims not only at fulfilling Academic excellence but concentrates in all arenas to nurture the whole person. With the latest technology ,the explosive growth of technology will continue to have an impact on health care delivery. The growth of this technology will change the way nurses function, and lead to the development of new nursing roles.

A nurse is not merely a caregiver; she is a tech- savvy, confident and highly resourceful person who can dexterously handle the ‘state – of – the – art’ equipment in the hospital. Endowed with the unique qualities of love, audacity and compassion which is the hallmark of the nurse. A Nurse is much in demand in today’s modern health care system and has a pivotal role in ensuring and maintaining quality health care.

The EIMS is headed by our enterprising Chairman Dr N Murugesan and Dynamic Director Dr.Sathyaveni Murugesan. EIMS is created to uphold medical and paramedical education to establish educational institutions, to develop Research facilities and to run Health clinics and Hospitals.

College of Nursing strives to update Nursing Education on par with International Standards. The purpose of the College is not merely to produce graduates in the field of Nursing, but also to mould the young minds towards selfless service .
