Eastcoast has Intensive Medical Care Unit which was handled by our competent Doctors.

The Intensive Medical Care Unit of EastCoast Hospital is one of the best in Pondicherry. Having 8-bed unit manned by 4 Medical Officers, 16 Staff Nurses, 1 Respiratory Therapists and 1 Bio-Medical Engineers. Aside from this approximately 10 Consultants are always available “On Call” for any emergencies for this Unit.

Monitoring Facilities:

All patients in the IMCU are constantly monitored via ECG along with Central Monitoring Stations. The unit has 5 Pulse Oximeters and a Capnograph Monitor exclusively for the care of the patients. The Unit also boasts of 5 Infusion pumps and 22 Infusion syringe pumps.

Ventilators:

With 4 modern state-of-the-art ventilators like Maquet Servo 1, Siemens 3 ventilators, this Intensive Medical Care Unit is one of the best in Pondicherry.

Poison Management:

The IMCU also has a Poison Control and Management facility ready to respond to any poison related medical emergencies.

Training:

Regular CME programs for Medical Officers and Paramedics is the hallmark of Intensive Medical Care culture at EastCoast Hospital.
